A Unique Lighting Solution for a Circus-Inspired Office Design

Richporter Lighting recently collaborated on an exciting office lighting design project. La Tohu, a famous circus in Montreal, required offices that reflected the magic and value of its unique business. Our company was responsible for developing the best office lighting tailored to its needs.

The project presented a unique challenge and a rewarding outcome. Here is how we combined functionality and aesthetic appeal in a 2,000-square-foot office space.

The Lighting Challenge

Our proposal went beyond regular office lighting, Cléo Katcho’s innovative design challenged us to adapt creatively. Inspired by the vibrant and playful essence of the circus, La Tohu offices’ lighting design is anything but ordinary.

We installed colorful Arktura ceiling panels shaped like circus tents to add a visual dimension. These acoustic panels added a playful touch to the space and improved the overall sound quality of the office.

The main challenge was seamlessly blending the linear with the Arktura acoustic panels. By integrating the colorful acoustic panels with linear and cylinder lighting fixtures, we created a fun ceiling with purpose. This solution created a sense of comfort by mitigating the sound and adding the right amount of lighting to work.

The Lighting Solution

Our approach was to balance aesthetic appeal while implementing the different types of lighting (General lighting, ambient lighting, accent lighting and task lighting).
